Sridharan "Sri" Ramakrishnan is executive director at ET Now, the 24x7 business channel from The Economic Times, India's largest-circulated financial daily. Sri is part of the editorial leadership team that launched India's newest business channel and helped turn it the No. 2 player within a year. At ET Now, Sri is responsible for all of the channel's news operations. He also hosts a weekly news feature show, ET Insight, and conducts interviews. Most recently, he interviewed Lloyd Blankfein, the CEO of Goldman Sachs, in what was the Wall Street czar's first TV interview outside the US.
Prior to joining ET Now, Sri was managing editor of Business Today, India's leading business fortnightly. Simultaneously, he was the editor of Harvard Business Review South Asia, a facsimile copy of its American edition. At Business Today, Sri and his team launched several path-breaking surveys and studies that have since been imitated by other business magazines.
Sri began his career with a small shipping magazine in New Delhi and then spent three years working with The Economic Times on its op-ed feature pages. Sri studied English literature at Delhi University, journalism at YMCA, Delhi, and has attended the Executive General Management Programme at IIM Bangalore. As an Alfred Friendly Press Fellow in 1999, Sri was hosted by The Washington Post in Washington, DC.
Sri lives with his wife, Bala, and 7-year-old son, Atreya, in Mumbai.
