Susan Talalay
Secretary

Susan Talalay is an independent consultant with thirty years of experience in the non-profit sector. From 1994 to 2003, Susan ran the Knight International Press Fellowship Program (now the Knight International Journalism Fellowships) at the International Center for Journalists, and from 2003 to 2005, she managed the Center’s Development and Communications Departments. Prior to joining the International Center for Journalists, Susan was the program manager (1985 to 1992) of the Alfred Friendly Press Fellowships and the director of the program from 1992 to 1994. Susan also administered the Worth Bingham Prize for investigative journalism from 1991 through 2006.

She has a B.A. (Hons) in Russian language and literature from the University of London, and an intermediate diploma in Russian from the Institute of Linguists in London.

Susan is married to Alberto Mora, an attorney, has one son, Alex, and lives in McLean, Virginia.
