Alfred Friendly Press Fellowships Advisory Board

The Advisory Board is composed of print, broadcast and digital journalists who are news media leaders. They include top-ranked editors, global journalists, innovative educators and pioneering thinkers who work in the U.S. and internationally.

The Advisory Board focuses on journalism issues for the Foundation and Fellowship programs. Among its roles:

  • The members work to identify what the Fellows who come to the U.S. — and their home organizations — can best gain from the U.S. experience.
  • They identify and help recruit accomplished journalists to train international media organizations in areas such as newsroom management, election coverage and investigative reporting.
  • The board reviews Fellowship applications. It also helps to recruit and train U.S. host and international partner newsrooms.
